	All 1957 Mercury Turnpike cruiser convertibles were replicas of the Indy pace car. There were a total of 5 cars at the track the day of the race, May 30, 1957. All 1265 cars are the same color, Sun Glitter Yellow, and it was optional if you wanted the lettering on the car or not. Lettering was put on at the dealership if you wanted it, not at the factory.
